Europcar offers a range of liablity buy down options available during your online booking or when you pick up your hire car from the branch.

Super peace of mind (SPOM)

Our premium cover, which reduces your DLF liability to nil.


Super Collision Damange Waiver (SCDW)

Your DLF is reduced to the amount shown in the Rental Agreement, which for some classes of Vehicles may be nil, but it does not include WWI


Peace of mind (POM)

Your DLF is reduced to the amount shown in the Rental Agreement and it includes WWI.
Windscreen, Headlights and Tyres (WWI)


This is an additional cover that covers damage to the windscreen, tyre punctures, and headlights.. Damage to wheel rims, and other glass, and tyre spiking or slashing are not covered


Note: This product will no longer be available after April 1 2012, however bookings with this cover made prior to April 1 2012 will be honoured


Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)


Your DLF liability is reduced to the amount shown in the Rental Agreement but never to nil and it does not include WWI.

This cover replaces the current LDW product.


Loss Damage Waiver (LDW)

Your DLF is reduced to the amount shown in the Rental Agreement but it does not include  Windscreen, Headlights and Tyres (WWI).


Note: This product will no longer be available after April 1 2012, however bookings with this cover made prior to April 1 2012 will be honoured.


Windscreen, Wheels & Irridescent (WWI)

This cover is for windscreen and headlight damage, tyre punctures and wheel and tyre damage unless caused recklessly or by a deliberate, wilful criminal act or by driver abuse, but there is no reduction in your DLF and no cover for damage to side and rear windows.


Single Vehicle Accident Liability Fee (SVALF)

Single Vehicle Accident means an Accident that occurs on an Unsealed Road where Unsealed Road Cover - 4WD or Unsealed Road Cover - AWD have been purchased and the Accident does not involve an impact between the Vehicle and another moving vehicle. It includes but is not limited to:

a.impacts with animals, roadside infrastructure, vegetation, rocks and obstacles;

b.rollovers; or

c.impacts with any stationary object, including other stationary parked vehicles.


Single Vehicle Accident Liability Fee (SVALF) means the amount payable to Us in the event of Damage or Third Party Loss arising from a Single Vehicle Accident and applies only if You have purchased Unsealed Road Cover - 4WD or Unsealed Road Cover - AWD. The amount payable is shown in the Rental Agreement, is additional to the DLF and is subject to GST.


Snow Cover

Snow Cover means the additional cover that allows the Vehicle to be driven in areas above the Snow Line.


The Snow Line is defined as the gates leading to any of the national parks or snowfields in Australia between 1 June and 31 October, or any area where it is indicated or required that show chains are to be fitted to the vehicle.


Snow Cover protects the customer on the full replacement value of the vehicle in the event of an accident.


In addition to the Snow Cover, you may also purchase the SPOM or POM to protect yourself when driving on sealed roads.


IMPORTANT NOTE

The Rental Contract provides no cover for personal property owned by You, any unauthorised driver or any passenger even if Cover Products have been purchased.

 

If You or any driver whether authorised by Us or not breach the Rental Contract there is no cover and You and any driver are each liable for:

(a) Damage;

(b) Third Party Loss;

(c) storage, repossession and recovery fees;

(d) roadside assistance; and

(e) administrative and legal costs of recovery,

even if Cover Products have been purchased.

If a customer is 21 or 22 years of age in Australia or 21 in New Zealand, the Damage Liability Fee can not be reduced.
