Pick up a car hire in Adelaide and check out the highlights of Prospect, Lyndoch and everywhere in between.

Prospect to Lyndoch

 

09:00 – Depart Adelaide for Prospect

09:45 – Enjoy breakfast at The South Australian Company Store. Nestled amongst picturesque vineyards, this idyllic and tranquil setting is unsurpassed in the Barossa Valley, featuring the best of South Australia’s gourmet and regional foods.

09:15 – Stop by in the beautiful & history rich North Adelaide en-route to Prospect for a delicious breakfast or a coffee. Take a walk down O’Connell Street or Melbourne Street to discover one of the many great coffee & dining spots.

10:15 – Discover more about the life and legacy of one of South Australia’s most successful businessmen at the R.M. Williams Outback Heritage Museum. The museum boasts a unique collection of RM Williams artifacts including his trademark moleskins, saddler & bridles.

11:00 – Stage 1 Race Start.  

11:30 – Depart Prospect and head to the picturesque Barossa Valley.

12:20 - Pop into Hentley Farm, a cellar door set among the rolling hills on the banks of Greenock Creek at Seppeltsfield. Hentley Farm is a boutique, single estate vineyard that produces distinctive wines reflective of the exceptional site. Hentley Farm specialise in producing premium quality single-estate and single-block wines solely from the vines grown on their Seppeltsfield property - an old 150 acre vineyard and mixed farming property on the banks of Greenock Creek.

13:00 – Depart for Lyndoch.  

13:30 – While waiting for the peloton to arrive, explore some of the local Lyndoch traders and pick up some treasure at Corroboree Dream Art. Formerly known as Prestige Gallery and established in 1985. In 2007 the gallery began to focus entirely on Aboriginal art. Showcasing renowned Indigenous Artists, both new and emerging, each stunning painting depicts a story that is being told by the artists, each having their own interpretations. Not only is it the incredible detail and the artists stories that make these paintings unique and beautiful but it has been said that Aboriginal art is the oldest form of caveman art that exists in today's society.

14:34 - Stage 1 Race Finish.

15:30 - Now that the race has finished, stick around and enjoy the regional showcase markets and entertainment provided by the Barossa Valley Council in conjunction with the Lyndoch traders.
