Can a work colleague or family member drive the car?

Yes - An additional driver is included in your package. The additional driver will need to be nominated when you pick up your vehicle.

What’s the minimum and maximum rental period?

On the SuperFlex plan, it’s a 30 day minimum and on the Flex plan, it’s a 90 day minimum. These minimums ensure we’re able to provide you with great rates for an extended rental period. The maximum rental period is 24 months. Should you wish to rent the vehicle for more than 24 months, the vehicle will need to be returned and a new rental opened.

What happens if I need to return my vehicle before 30/ 90 days?

If you return your SuperFlex rental under 30 days, you will be charged the standard retail daily rate for each of the days of your rental period. If you return your Flex rental before 90 days, you will be charged the 90 day commitment.

Are there KM restrictions?

There are two different packages you may choose from: 3,000 kilometres per month, or 5,000 kilometres per month. This cannot be altered after you check-out the vehicle. Kilometres is one of the major factors in defining how much your agreement plan will cost. If you exceed your chosen kilometres then at the end of the rental period we will charge you for the number of kilometres you have travelled over and above the inclusive kilometre allowance in the relevant period

What happens if I get a speeding fine in the car?

In the event you receive an infringement notice during your rental, you will receive the infringement notice from the police or from Europcar that you will have to pay. In addition, you will be charged a fine administration fee directly included in your final rental invoice.

How will you charge me for using toll roads?

Tolls will be charged to your registered credit card on a monthly basis, including an administration fee, as per our standard terms and conditions of rental.

Can I use my own toll road tag in the car?

Simply ensure you have a working registered tag and place it in the vehicle as you would your own. If for any reason your tag doesn’t work, you will be charged automatically on your registered credit card for any toll roads used whilst in the rental vehicle, as per our standard terms and conditions of rental.

Can I take out insurance on my long term rental?

Our Long Term Solution product comes with two options to select from at no additional cost: Medium & Premium Covers. If there is Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss you must pay an amount up to the basic Damage Liability Fee (excess). Our Premium Cover option gives you the highest reduction to the basic Damage Liability Fee (excess) amount if there is Damage, theft of the vehicle or Third Party Loss. But there may be no cover for Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss in some circumstances.
 

Can I reduce the damage liability fee?

Yes, you can reduce your damage liability fee (excess) by up to 80% when selecting our Premium Cover option. This must be chosen when making your booking to apply to a new rental.

A pre-authorisation will be processed on your credit card at check-out, and every 30 days thereafter with the remaining balance of your rental. Depending on your bank, the timeframe for the release of these funds will vary - this applies for all accounts not on a full credit facility
A bond of $200 will be processed on your credit card as security for your rental
A valid credit card is required to secure your booking and collect the vehicle - this applies for all accounts not on a full credit facility
Minimum driver age 21 (surcharge applies for drivers under 25)
Minimum rental period applies. For SuperFlex (30 day min) rentals, vehicles returned under 30 days will revert to standard daily retail pricing. For Flex rentals, vehicles returned before 90 days will be charged the 90 day minimum commitment
Customer will be contacted every 60 days to obtain KM reading and vehicle condition
Billing will occur every 30 days
Charges apply for additional kilometres over the selected 3000km or 5000km options selected
The standard damage liability fee applies unless the premium package is selected with Reduced Damage Liability cover
Any infringements or tolls will be charged to the registered Credit Card, as per Europcar standard Terms and Conditions of rental
Maximum rental term is 24 months
