Europcar recognises the environmental benefits of electric vehicles which include no carbon emissions, improved air quality and therefore lower environmental impact.
 
Thanks to Europcar, you can be one of the first in New Zealand to rent the all new fully electric Volkswagen e-Golf. The Volkswagen e-Golf is powered by lithium-ion batteries (36kWh) and comes with an electric motor producing 100kW of power.
 
There are now over 60 fast charging stations in New Zealand which have the European standard plug (compatible with the e-Golf) that will provide an 80% battery charge in just over half an hour. Apps such as PlugShare and the Vector EV Charging are available for smartphone users to show the locations of these charging stations.
