What safety and cleaning measures have you set up?

We know how important it is for our customers to feel safe, that's why all myEuropcar vehicles are carefully cleaned before being offered to our customers. Europcar follows a rigorous and extensive cleaning process divided into several parts for our vehicles. We have actioned this by taking additional measures to ensure the cleanliness of our fleet is held to a high standard, this includes the cleaning of all vehicle surfaces, controls and car keys.

What is the myEuropcar Car subscription?

myEuropcar is a flexible car subscription and the alternative to leasing or buying a car. You can easily subscribe online to the myEuropcar car subscription within a few minutes.

The monthly fixed rate includes services, a basic protection package, a basic free mileage package, maintenance and wear & tear. We don't charge a starting fee either!

You can choose from different minimum terms (1, 3 or 6 months), after which the myEuropcar car subscription is renewed monthly up to a maximum period of 24 months.

What is special about myEuropcar?

myEuropcar is a vehicle subscription that offers you the comfort of a personal vehicle without all the disadvantages of owning it. Choose a short minimum duration for more flexibility or a longer minimum duration for more savings. The longer your engagement is, the lesser your monthly payment.You can also choose amongst a large variety of options to tailor your subscription to your needs:

- Our different Damage Cover packages allow you to reduce your deductible in the event of an accident.
- Various additional kilometre packages.
- An additional driver is always included in your subscription plan. You want to add another driver? You just need to add this person into your booking.

What is the difference between a classic long-term rental and myEuropcar?

You do not need to know how long you are driving for when you start your myEuropcar subscription. You can easily tailor your subscription to meet your personal needs! For instance, you can choose between a number of different kilometre and Damage Cover packages but also have the added bonus of having an additional driver automatically included as part of your subscription.

What is the main difference between the myEuropcar subscription program and leasing or buying?

Compared to leasing or buying, vehicle subscription offers more flexibility. You can decide on a minimum duration of 1, 3 or 6 months. Your vehicle subscription is renewed each month. The cancellation period is very short.

How to proceed to a myEuropcar subscription?

You can subscribe online.

Is there a starting fee for myEuropcar?

No. With the myEuropcar car subscription, you will not be charged an entry fee.

Is there a deposit required and when will it be returned?

A $750 deposit will be charged on your credit card for security reasons for your myEuropcar car. We will refund you the deposit as soon as you have terminated the myEuropcar car subscription, the vehicle has been returned and all amounts due have been paid.

What is included in the monthly myEuropcar subscription rate?

The myEuropcar car subscription offers the advantages of owning a car without having to own it. The basic monthly package price includes^

*Roadside assistance for inherent mechanical faults. Additional fees apply for faults related to driver induced errors and all non-mechanical defects such as lost keys, keys locked in the vehicle, flat battery due to lights being left on etc.

What costs should I expect in addition to the subscription fee?

Your myEuropcar subscription includes costs related to maintenance, registration, compulsory third party insurance, technical inspection, roadside assistance, replacement vehicle, Damage Cover, selected monthly kilometre package and an additional driver.

Costs associated with fuel (electricity for electric and hybrid vehicles), AdBlue®, windshield washer fluid and engine oil are not included. Similarly, Europcar does not cover parking fees, tolls, fines or damages.

How many free kilometers are included per month?

The myEuropcar car subscription includes 1,200km per month. If you need more kilometres, you can add additional kilometre packages (each package 500km) during your booking and select up 6 additional packages totalling 3,000km per month. Any kilometres not used within the month cannot be transferred to the following month.

Please remember that you can only add additional packages during the booking process.

Do I need to pay for toll roads?

It is your responsibility to pay for tolls and fees incurred by You when driving the Vehicle on a toll road.

We recommend You open your own tolling account directly with a toll road operator and use your e-tag when travelling on a toll road.

However, if you do not open Your own tolling account, under the Europcar Terms and Conditions of Rental which include the Linkt Terms and Conditions, Tollaust Pty Limited (ACN 050 538 693), trading as Linkt (Linkt) provides the Linkt Rental Product to You for the payment of tolls and fees incurred by You when driving the Vehicle on a toll road and You must pay Linkt in connection with Your use of the Linkt Rental Product:
(i) all tolls incurred in connection with Your use of a toll road;
(ii) a Service Fee of $3.30 including GST for each calendar day on which a toll is incurred using the Linkt Rental Product; and
(iii) any other amount that is payable pursuant to the Linkt Terms and Conditions.

Is myEuropcar available for business customers?

No. myEuropcar is exclusively available for private customers. As a business customer we offer long term solutions, made specifically for you, so that you can find the appropriate option for you.

How is myEuropcar car insured?

There is a Basic Damage Cover package included in your monthly price. It includes cover against theft or accidental collision damage with a Damage Excess payable. If you want to reduce the Damage Excess on the myEuropcar Vehicle you can choose between the Medium or Premium protection package to reduce the payable amount

Booking, Delivery and Collection

Once my booking is completed, how long do I have to wait before picking up the myEuropcar Vehicle?

Our vehicles are available within 5 days of completing your request, however, during the booking process, you can choose to pick it up at a later date.

How long can I keep the myEuropcar Vehicle?

When you subscribe to myEuropcar, you can choose a minimum term of 1,3 or 6 months. Afterwards, your subscription will be automatically renewed until you decide to terminate it, up to a maximum period of 24 months.

Can I choose to extend the subscription after the initial minimum term?

Yes, the subscription will be automatically extended until you cancel your subscription.

Can I have myEuropcar Vehicle delivered?

Yes, you can have your myEuropcar Vehicle delivered to your address for an additional fee of $199 if you cannot pick it up at our location (within 25km of the relevant central business district). During the booking process select the option “delivery and collection of the vehicle”, then enter your details and we will contact you to confirm the delivery date and address.

Please note that the subscriber must physically present a driver licence during the delivery of the myEuropcar Vehicle and must be able to present the confirmation of the booking. Moreover, all the additional drivers booked must also be present to show their driving licence.

What vehicles can I book in the subscription plan?

You can choose amongst a number of vehicles: compact, SUV, intermediate and standard vehicles.

Are the myEuropcar Vehicles available immediately?

Vehicles are available with an anticipated booking period of 5 days. If you need a vehicle earlier, you can book a regular rental on Europcar’s website.

Will I get the vehicle that I have booked?

You book a category of vehicle that includes several vehicles that are comparable. We cannot give you the guarantee of a specific brand or model. Some examples of vehicle models in a particular category are displayed when you select that category.

Is there a limit to how long I can book a myEuropcar Vehicle?

Subscription periods are 1, 3 or 6 months, with a maximum duration of 24 months from the time of pick up.

Are there age restrictions for some categories of myEuropcar Vehicles?

Some myEuropcar Vehicles have an age restriction and all drivers must possess a valid full Australian driver’s licence before picking up a myEuropcar Vehicle.

Who can be added as an additional driver?

Just like the subscriber, an additional driver must meet the requirements in the Terms and Conditions of Rental.

Who is allowed to drive the myEuropcar Vehicle?

The subscriber and the additional driver registered in the subscription are allowed to drive the myEuropcar Vehicle. If you wish to add more additional drivers, you can do so during the booking process. It is mandatory that you and the additional drivers are present at the station or during the delivery of the myEuropcar Vehicle so that they can present their valid full Australian driver’s licence.

*What is meant by "Guaranteed Model"?

Model is guaranteed, subject to variations in vehicle colour,model variant and equipment features.

Can I book a myEuropcar Vehicle with automatic transmission?

Yes, once you have selected a specific category of vehicle, you will see in the description whether the myEuropcar Vehicle is manual or an automatic.

Which vehicles can I subscribe to in the myEuropcar vehicle subscription?

You can choose between a number of vehicle categories: compact, intermediate, standard and SUV. While we cannot guarantee you a specific vehicle, we will provide you with a myEuropcar Vehicle from the category you have selected.

Will I get the vehicle that is shown in the booking process?

You will get a vehicle in the category you have selected. The vehicles displayed are examples of the selected category. If you do not find the category of vehicle of your choice, do not hesitate to check back later. myEuropcar is a new program and the offer is constantly evolving.

Will I keep the myEuropcar Vehicle until the end of the contract?

We do everything we can so that you can keep your myEuropcar Vehicle during the duration of your contract. However, we might contact you to change your myEuropcar Vehicle for another one of the same category for the remainder of the contract.

Can I change the category of vehicle during my subscription?

No, you cannot change the category of vehicle during your subscription and as such, it is not possible to change over during the duration of the contract. If you need a vehicle of another size, you can terminate your current subscription, taking into account the cancellation period and take out a new one.

Can I smoke in a myEuropcar Vehicle?

It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside our myEuropcar Vehicles. This rule applies to cigarettes, cigars, pipes and electronic cigarettes. Please comply with those rules in order to avoid additional fees when returning the myEuropcar Vehicle.

Can I bring pets inside myEuropcar Vehicles?

Yes. Accredited and trained assistance animals may always be carried. Pets and/or animals kept at home can also be transported if they are in appropriate pet crates. Please make sure that it does not cause any damage or leave any dirty mark, in order to avoid additional cleaning fees.

Can I select a specific vehicle model?

We offer two different solutions:
1) Many of our car subscription offers do not include a specific vehicle model, but relate to a selected vehicle group. During the booking process, these offers are clearly marked with "or similar". The displayed vehicle model is an example of one of the listed vehicle models.
2) Car subscriptions marked "Guaranteed Model" in the booking funnel refer to the specific model. Please understand that the vehicle colour, motorisation (range for electric vehicles), model variant and equipment characteristics may differ from the vehicle shown.

Costs and Payment

How is the myEuropcar car subscription billed?

With the booking, we will directly charge the first monthly rate including the booked extras as well as the deposit. Please make sure your credit card covers this amount.
Each new monthly rate will be charged 10 days before the start of the new month.
As a means of payment we currently only accept credit cards, which must be issued on the subscriber.

When and how will I be billed?

The subscription to the myEuropcar Vehicle begins on the date of availability confirmed by Europcar, with the first payment due at the time of booking creation. Monthly payments will be automatically billed 10 days before the beginning of a new month, and you will be informed by email 2 days before your credit card is charged. The monthly fee consists of the basic package and any monthly additional services, if chosen by you.

What are the means of payment allowed?

Payments are only accepted via a valid debit or credit card. Company and corporate credit cards are not accepted. The amount will be debited to you in whole or in part on the prearranged day of a given calendar month, with or without interest (deferred debiting).

How much do I have to pay per month for the myEuropcar Vehicle?

The monthly price will depend on the vehicle as well as the minimum term you select. The longer the minimum term, the lower the monthly price.

The monthly price includes all the fixed costs of the myEuropcar Vehicle such as maintenance, roadside assistance, vehicle replacement and the standard Damage Cover package. It is possible to select additional options such as a kilometre booster package or extra Damage Cover, which are then also included in the monthly price. Costs related to fuel or electricity are at the expense of the driver.

Are there any other costs aside from the monthly price for the myEuropcar Vehicle?

Additional fees outside of the monthly price include:

Young drivers under 25 years old must pay an additional fee per month (drivers must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for subscription).

If you have travelled more kilometres than what is allowed in your subscription plan, or if you have not returned your myEuropcar Vehicle with a full tank, you will be billed for the additional kilometres and the fuel.

Damage costs within the Damage Cover chosen will also be charged. Fees may also be charged where the Subscriber does not comply with Europcar directions for vehicle change-overs or providing vehicle condition reports.

Apart from that, the only costs you will pay are related to fuel and/or electricity. For more information, please check myEuropcar Terms and Conditions and our Terms and Conditions of Rental.

What happens if my payment method is about to expire?

In the event of upcoming expiry please update your payment information. You will receive a weekly reminder to update your payment information three weeks before the card expires. In these emails, you will find a link that will enable you to update your information online.

Termination and Return

When can I terminate my subscription?

You can terminate your subscription plan at any moment, providing a 14 days notice period. However, if you terminate your subscription before the end of the minimum term, the remaining months are payable. If you return the myEuropcar Vehicle after the end of the minimum term, you will only be billed for the days used in the last months of the subscription.

Can I cancel my subscription plan before picking up a myEuropcar Vehicle?

You can cancel your subscription plan without any cost up to 14 days before the pick-up date.

However, if you cancel your subscription within the 14-day period before the pick-up date, you will be charged with a $250 cancellation fee and if you cancel after the contractually agreed vehicle availability date, the subscription can no longer be cancelled.

What are the costs if I go beyond the kilometre allowance indicated in my subscription?

When you subscribe to your plan, you have an included package of 1,200 km per month, to which you can add up to six boosters of 500km per month. Beyond the limit allowed, any additional kilometres will be billed $0.25. Once you have exceeded your kilometre allowance, the additional kilometres are billed and charged to your credit card.

Your monthly quota for the last usage period is proportional to the number of days in that last period.

What happens if I return the myEuropcar Vehicle before the planned date?

If you return the myEuropcar Vehicle before the minimum term of the contract, you will be charged the full monthly payment for the minimum period. If you return the myEuropcar Vehicle after the end of the minimum contract period, you will only be charged for the current month.

How do I terminate my subscription?

In each monthly payment notification that you receive by email, you will find a link that will enable you to terminate your subscription, all you need to do is select a new return date. If you terminate once the minimum period has come to an end, you will only have to pay for any costs or damages listed when you return the myEuropcar Vehicle. Once you have terminated your subscription plan through the link, we will contact you to discuss the exact details of the return of the myEuropcar Vehicle.

At the end of the subscription, can you pick up the myEuropcar Vehicle at my home?

Yes, it would be our pleasure to pick up the myEuropcar Vehicle directly from your home. Just select the option ‘delivery and collection of the vehicle’ during the booking process.

How can I return the myEuropcar Vehicle?

To return your myEuropcar Vehicle, you have to terminate your subscription by clicking on the link included in your monthly payment notification. It will open a form that already has all the details for your return, all you need to do is select the return date. Once this has been completed one of our customer service agents will be in contact to confirm these details and answer any questions you may have.

Please do not forget to return your myEuropcar Vehicle with a full tank (or a battery charge level of no less than 80% if an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle).

Can I return the myEuropcar Vehicle at any Europcar station?

No. The station where you picked up the myEuropcar Vehicle is also the one where you need to return it to at the end of your subscription. You will be sent the station address when terminating the contract.

What are the options or additional services that I can add to my subscription?

You can tailor your subscription according to your needs and choose from the following extras: kilometre booster packages, delivery and collection of the myEuropcar Vehicle, extra cover to reduce your Damage Excess as well as additional drivers (first additional driver is free).

Can I choose a larger package in terms of kilometres?

Your subscription includes 1,200 km per month. If you need more kilometres, you can add up to 6 booster packages during the booking process. Each package includes 500 additional kilometres per month.

Please remember that you can only add additional packages during the booking process.

How can I declare the number of kilometres travelled during the month?

You will be sent an email asking you to declare the number of kilometres you have driver

Can anyone other than myself drive the myEuropcar Vehicle?

Yes, you can declare one additional driver without any fees, as this option is already included in your monthly cost. If you decide to declare other additional drivers (a limit of 3), each addition will be charged at a monthly fee you need to add this option when subscribing to your plan.

During the pickup process at the Europcar station or at home (if you selected the “delivery and collection at home” option), all the registered drivers must present their driver’s licence alongside a valid ID.

Is there a Damage Cover package included in the monthly price?

Yes, there is a standard Damage Cover package included in your monthly price. It includes cover against theft or accidental collision damage with a Damage Excess payable. If you want to reduce the Damage Excess on the myEuropcar Vehicle you can choose between the Medium or Premium protection package to reduce the payable amount.

Maintenance and Assistance

Is roadside assistance included?

All of our subscription offers include an emergency service 24h/24 and 7/7 on the following number(s): 1800 625 035

Phone number is also displayed inside your myEuropcar Vehicle.

What should I do if I have an accident or a breakdown?

Roadside assistance is provided for inherent mechanical faults in the Vehicle but fees and charges apply for all other faults or driver induced errors.

In the event a third party is involved you will need to collect as much information as possible, including a police report if they attended the accident

If a myEuropcar Vehicle is not driveable, under the terms and conditions of rental the time period for a changeover is 24 hours as there are a number of factors for us to consider.

Can I use or purchase my own vehicle insurance?

No. The myEuropcar Vehicle is covered by Europcar's Damage Cover for accidental Damage, theft and any Third Party Loss and the costs are already included in the monthly price of the subscription.

Can I reduce the deductible in the event of a claim?

When you subscribe online to your plan, you can choose between the Damage Cover packages, medium and premium, reducing your Damage Excess.

Other questions

Can I subscribe to several subscription plans at the same time?

Yes, you can subscribe to more than one myEuropcar Vehicle. Each subscription is considered individual and refers to only one vehicle. I have booked the delivery and pick-up of the myEuropcar Vehicle. Does this also apply to the exchange of the myEuropcar Vehicle or another visit to a Europcar station?

No, it only applies at the initial pick-up of the first vehicle at the beginning of your subscription and the collection at the end of your subscription.

All our vehicles are always thoroughly cleaned before handover. Furthermore, we have taken additional measures which include the cleaning of all surfaces in our cars, the switches as well as the car keys with the use of disinfectants.

We follow a precise multi-part cleaning process for our cars. All cars are intensively cleaned using disinfectants.

What are the Long-Term Solutions from Europcar?

Europcar's Long-Term Solutions currently include 2 options: SuperFlex and Flex.

The aim is to offer you a flexible alternative to traditional leasing or car purchasing. With the Long-Term Solutions you can rent a vehicle with Europcar from 1 month or 3 months (with the ability to extend for up to a maximum of 24 months).

You can comfortably drive your vehicle for as long as you need it and cancel very flexibly according to the terms of the Long-Term Solution you've chosen.

Why is a subscription model just right for my business?

With Long-Term Solutions, you can make your fleet far more flexible and thus more efficient. Project work, business seasonality, changes with employees and lead times on new vehicles orders are all circumstances where fleet flexibility is critical.

With the SuperFlex and Flex products, you can avoid these issues and react flexibly to changing conditions.

What are the benefits of Superflex?

With SuperFlex, you have the benefit of a monthly price with the flexibiity to return the vehicle after the minimum 30 day terms. You therefore remain extremely flexible, even if your requirements change unexpectedly.

Vehicles returned under the minimum 30 day term will be charged for days driven at the current retail rate of the location, at the time of return.

What are the benefits of Flex?

Flex is your particularly cost-efficient long term solution. You specify a minimum term - 3 months - and can then return your long term solution vehicle each month after the minimum term is met. The 3 month price is cheaper than the 1 month Superflex price.

Minimum term charged upfront as total cost, vehicles returned early will be charged the full minimum term.

As a company, what do I need to susbcribe to a vehicle?

In order to take out a long term solution vehicle with Europcar Australia, you need to have an Australian registered office and an active Australian Business Number.

If you have your registered office abroad, we will be happy to offer you an appropriate local solution. Please refer to your desired country-specific Europcar website.

When will I receive my myEuropcar car?

All our cars on subscription are available within 7 days of completing your request, however during the booking process, you can choose to pick it up at a later date. And if you need a car sooner, we offer various spontaneous rental solutions here: europcar.com.au

How long can I keep my vehicle?

Vehicles can be booked for 1 month and 3 month packages; SuperFlex and Flex respectively. Each initial period may be extended, with a maximum period of 24 months.

To ensure our customers have access to the most current vehicles, Europcar frequently change over fleet on average every 9 to 12 months. Customers may need their vehicle replaced or have maintenance carried out during their rental term. Where this is the case we will contact you if an exchange or maintenance is required and endeavour to carry out these requirements as quickly and easily as possible. After the initial rental term, Europcar will advise of any applicable price changes. "

Can the vehicle be delivered to my company location?

Will I get the vehicle I booked?

You book a vehicle category that includes several comparable vehicles. We can not give you a guarantee about a brand or a specific model.

Can I return my car at any Europcar station?

In the SuperFlex model, you can add One-Way. This means that you can return the vehicle to a different station than the one where you picked it up.

One way rentals incur a one way fee and are subject to availability. One way fees vary between locations & dates and are subject to change

Can I reduce the damage excess

Whether a reduction of the deductible is possible depends on long term product selected and the desired vehicle. In most cases, you can significantly reduce the deductible by booking the Medium or Premium protection package.

What is the damage excess amount in the case of damage?
