If you are in Girona, it’s the perfect opportunity to rent a car in the city of four rivers. A 43.5 km drive will take you to a remote beach and this little gem is only a few steps away. Cala Futadera is definitely worth it, located 6 km from Tossa de Mar, you can pull off the road, admire the view from the top and walk down the 200 steps to relax on the sand. Tuck away your balance sheets to feast on succulent tapas
Just because your business meetings are taking place in Barcelona doesn’t mean that you can’t take off your tie! It would be a shame not to enjoy the popular Barceloneta beach just 3 km from the city centre. At Xiroi Ca La Nuri or La Guingueta de L’Escribà, you can taste appetising tapas or mouth-watering Mediterranean cuisine with the sea at your feet. Don’t forget to snap a pic before you dig in!

Leave your marathon meetings behind and journey to an exclusive beach
Drive south of Barcelona for 41 km to the pretty village of Sitges where locals like to escape for a weekend. Among its 17 beaches, our favourite one is Cala Ginesta. You will pass through the marina on your way, which may be a little tricky, but boy, is it worth it! The perfect pic is waiting for you: a beautiful waterfront with sunshade umbrellas and awnings, loungers and pristine waters.

Treat your overworked mind to a sensational sunset
Hop in your rented car to Playa del Trabucador. There, you will feel like the only human being on earth when strolling along the 6.5 km sandbar of the quiet and warm waters of the Delta del Ebre. The beach rhymes with drop dead gorgeous sunsets, magical encounters with flamingos and a spectacular pontoon leading into the sea.
