Our carbon offset program with Greenfleet
At Europcar, we are committed to protecting the environment. We aim to reduce our fleet's environmental impact and offer the opportunity for our customers to do the same. That's why, since 2006, we have proudly partnered with Greenfleet to offset our carbon emissions.
Greenfleet is a not-for-profit organisation entirely funded by supporters who donate and offset their emissions. When you offset your emissions, you directly support the restoration of native forests that will grow to capture your emissions over their lifetime.
We invite all our customers to donate towards planting native trees and offsetting a portion of their rental emissions. Doing so reducesthe environmental impact of your rental, as you directly fund native reforestation projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Thanks to our customers' generous donations and Europcar's continued support, we have successfully offset nearly 50,000 tonnes of carbon emissions, a significant impact we're very proud of.
In 2018, we contributed towards completing a project that restored natural habitat for koalas along the breathtaking Great Ocean Road,renowned as one of the world's most scenic coastal drives.
Visitors from around the world travel to the Great Ocean Road to see the towering 12 Apostles, iconic surf breaks and misty waterfalls and also to catch a glimpse of koalas in their natural habitat.
Our customers have the power to take tangible climate action towards protecting and re-building koala habitat by donating each time they rent with us. These contributions help fund significant projects like the one completed along the Great Ocean Road.

Greenfleet is an environmental not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting our climate by restoring our forests. They enable thousands of individuals and over 650 responsible organisations like Europcar to take real climate action.
Since 1997, Greenfleet has planted 10.8 million native trees and restored more than 550 biodiverse forests across Australia and New Zealand to offset carbon emissions on behalf of its supporters.
