Driving under the influence is considered a very serious offense, and EU-imposed limits are enforced. As for speed limits, within town, it is 50 km/h, while on conventional roads, the limit is 90 km/h, and on highways, it is 120 km/h. Most residential areas have a speed limit of 20 km/h.

Relax at San Juan Beach

No trip to Alicante would be complete without a visit to San Juan Beach. During the summer, a large part of the nightlife moves north to San Juan, 10 kilometers from Alicante. With over 6 kilometers of sand, beach bars, and fewer tourists during the day than on the main beach, a visit to San Juan is worth it.
