MG was started back in the 1920s by British automotive engineer Cecil Kimber. The name originally stood for Morris Garages and the company first made its reputation with stylish two-seater sports cars. MG’s iconic octagon-shaped badge went through numerous hands, including the Morris Motor Company and the Rover Group. The company is now owned by Chinese giant SAIC Motor Corporation. MG is continuing its grand history and is dedicated to producing cars that are modern, economical, and stylish.
